Barber's warmly melodic First Symphony delivers drama and passion, while the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra stirs up a rhythmic maelstrom in Frenzy: A Short Symphony by American John Adams. The Orchestra welcomes the "transformational" saxophone virtuoso Steven Banks for Joan Tower's fluid and lyrical concerto Love Returns.
