Star Time | Wellington Jazz Festival

<p><br></p><p>Fresh off their June 2026 debut album release, Star Time returns to the Wellington Jazz Festival for yet another epic showdown at San Fran!</p><p>Star Time is a high energy Afrobeat jazz ensemble which arose from the ever growing jazz and African music scenes in Te-Whanganui-A-Tara. Led by the charismatic Rwandan-born vocalist Francois Judah, and backed by a massive 8-piece band, they aim to deliver a sonically unforgettable experience in the form of traditional Afrobeat dance rhythms, and spontaneous live arrangements which have set audiences on fire since their formation in 2024.</p><p>Star Time has continuously honed in on their signature fusion of afrobeat, dance music and jazz in a way that highlights their undeniably contagious energy as a group. Releasing their debut album &lsquo;WE ARE HERE&rsquo; in 2026, this body of work boldly cemented their sound, rooted in homage to African music and rhythms, with the aim of uniting all people on the dance floor.</p><p><br></p><p>San Fran holds a <strong>Supervised License</strong>. Minors are welcome to attend events at San Fran so long as they are accompanied by a <strong>legal guardian</strong> at all times whilst at the venue.</p>
