About this event
Maisy Owens unique sound, musical truth and stirring vocals inhabit Dark On A Sunny Day, her debut album released in May of 2026 on Tompkins Square and produced by Robin Eaton (known for his work with Jill Sobule).Drawn to melancholic melodies and dark poetic imagery, Dark On A Sunny Day has been garnering accolades from the likes of MOJO, Uncut, The Bluegrass Situation, KCRW, BBC Radio and Nashville Scene among others. Her high, clear, quite lovely, sometimes haunting voice is gently backed by harmonies, a lonely guitar, and a brush of drums. A timeless sound, easy to sink into. - MOJORaised in rural northern California, Jordan Day grew up listening to old school country/folk songs and black metal. His songs have a timeless country sound with a heavy, bleak underlayer in both lyrics and melodies. Highly proficient on guitar and banjo, he can silence a room with his playing alone. Tickets are $10 in advance, $15 at the door. $5 off for students w/ college ID at the door. This event is 18 and over. Any ticket holder unable to present valid identification indicating that they are at least 18 years of age will not be admitted to this event, and will not be eligible for a refund.
