Paul Sanchez - Summer Music Series in the Lounge

Wednesdays at 7 PM, the vibrant sounds of New Orleans come alive as the city's favorite musicians gather to bring music to the New Orleans Jazz & Blues Market's Summer Music Series in the Lounge. This weekly event is a celebration of the rich musical heritage that defines New Orleans, featuring a dynamic mix of jazz, blues, and other regional sounds. Paul Sanchez spent five decades crafting songs that blend New Orleans' musical spirit with rock energy & singer-songwriter storytelling. A founding member of Cowboy Mouth, Paul released 11 albums and toured extensively with the New Orleans rockers before returning home after Hurricane Katrina to rebuild his life and continue creating music. With 24 solo releases, numerous New Orleans music awards, and songs recorded by Darius Rucker, Irma Thomas, Galactic, and Hootie & the Blowfish, he remains one of the city's most respected musical voices. He also wrote music for the acclaimed musical Nine Lives and has appeared in Treme, NCIS, Your Honor, and Interview with the Vampire. "Paul Sanchez balances New Orleans street music, singer/songwriter introspection and rock 'n' roll eclecticism with the grace of a cocktail waitress balancing a trail of martinis at Happy Hour," says OffBeat Magazine.
